ZoneMinder is a powerful network-based security
and surveillance solution. The system allows multiple surveillance
devices to be incorporated into an integrated security solution
to provide comprehensive monitoring and ‘alert & response’
type security features suitable for premises and sites of all sizes.
ZoneMinder enables capture, monitoring, recording
and automatic analysis of video information coming from one or several
cameras; it can also be combined with other devices such as proximity
alarms and infra-red beam devices to provide a multi-input logic-based
intelligent security solution.
Programmable integrated security
ZoneMinder is a ‘programmable’ system
which allows the configuration of automated and semi-automated surveillance
solutions. The system supports web-based and semi-automated control
of Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras using a variety of different protocols.
Because ZoneMinder is network-based it allows
users to monitor and control their surveillance projects from anywhere
in the world. The user-friendly web-based control panel allows the
monitoring of the current situation as well as browsing and viewing
historical events.
